Mr Shizuo Abe
General Manager, Hybrid Vehicle Engineering Management Division, Toyota Motor Corporation

After joining Toyota Motor Corporation in 1982, Mr. Shizuo Abe was engaged in the development of R&D regarding cooling and combustion of engine at Higashi Fuji Technical Center for ten years.

Then he was engaged in the development of direct injection gasoline engine and V6 engine for GS350 and GS450h.

He has been in charge of the Hybrid Vehicle Advanced Technology Engineering Div. as the general manager since 2006 and also responsible for the development of hybrid system from advanced stage to mass-production stage since 2008.

He is now aggressively promoting the development of HV, PHV and EV.

Dr Albert Lam

Kenichiro Wada
EV Business Office, Mitsubishi Motors

After joining Mitsubishi Motors Corporation in 1989, Kenichiro Wada was engaged as an Automotive Engineer, mainly in the development of interior products and was appointed Manager of Interior Design Group. In 2005, Mr Wada was assigned to the Electric Vehicle Development team and started working on the development of i-MiEV. Following his assignment as Project Manager of the new MiEV Product Development project in 2007, he took up the role of General Manager of the MiEV Engineering Department. He was appointed to his current role in April 2010.

Mr He Bin
Chief Engineer, Vehicle System Control, Chery, China

He Bin received the Ph.D. degree in mechanical engineering from Tsinghua University, Beijing, in 2007. He work at the New Energy Vehicle Company, Chery Automobile, Anhui Province. He is the chief engineer in vehicle system control, and project director leading the development of a strong hybrid vehicle. Before that, he is a lead software engineer at the New Energy Vehicle Division, SAIC motor technical center, Shanghai.

Professor C.C. Chan
President, World Electric Vehicle Association & Electric Vehicle Association of Asia Pacific

Prof. C C Chan holds BSc , MSc, PhD, HonDSc, HonDTech degrees. He has had over 50 years academic and industrial experience. He is currently the Honorary Professor and the former Head of the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, the University of Hong Kong. He is the Founding President of the International Academy for Advanced Study. He served as Visiting Professor of a number of well-known universities around the world, including MIT, University of California Berkeley, University of Cambridge, etc. He is Co-founder and President of the World Electric Vehicle Association, the President of the Electric Vehicles Association of Asia Pacific, and Past President of the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers.

He serves as Senior Consultant to governments and industries worldwide. Prof. Chan is a Fellow of the Royal Academy of Engineering, U.K., the Chinese Academy of Engineering, the Ukraine Academy of Engineering Sciences, IEEE, IET and HKIE. He received the IEE International Lecture Medal in 2000 and delivered lectures on electric vehicles worldwide. He was selected as one of Asia’s Best Technology Pioneers by Asiaweek; named as “Father of Asian Electric Vehicles” by Magazine Global View; named as “Pitamaha (Grandfather) of Electric Vehicle Technology” in India; received the “Environmental Excellence in Transportation Award” from the Society of Automotive Engineers U.S.A.; Honour of “China Automobile Industry Character”; Gold Medal of Hong Kong Institution of Engineers.

He authored and coauthored 11 books, over 300 technical papers and holds 9 patents. His mission is to promote the global collaboration for the advancement of science and technology for global sustainable development.

Mr Masayuki Nakagawa
Deputy Director General, Osaka Prefectural Government, Department of Commerce, Industry and Labor, Japan

Nakagawa-san has been appointed as Assistance Director General Osaka Prefectural Government, Department of commerce industry and labor, Japan since 2010. His previous experience is as below:

Takafumi Anegawa

Mr. Takafumi Anegawa is working as the group manager of mobility technology group of R & D Center, Tekyo Electric Power Co, Japan. His previous experience is as below:

  • 1983~1986: Core & Fuel Management at Fukushima-daiichi Nuclear Power Station

Mr Peter Van Den Bossche
Secretary of TC 69, IEC

Peter Van den Bossche is currently lecturer at the Erasmus University College Brussels and the Vrije Universiteit Brussel. Since more than 15 years he is active in several international standardization committees, currently acting as Secretary of IEC TC69. He has been closely involved in electric vehicle research and demonstration programmes in collaboration with the Vrije Universiteit Brussel and the international associations AVERE and CITELEC, and is now coordinating research projects on battery modelling, always observing the link to standardization development in the field.

Besides his professional involvement into electricity, Peter is strongly involved in the conservation of our architectural and industrial heritage, particularly in his home town Mechelen, Belgium. To unwind and to get away from it all, he likes to embark on solitary expeditions in the highlands of Scotland or Norway.

Dr Park Jae-Yong
Senior Researcher, Korea Automotive Technology Institute, Korea

Dr. J. Y. Park is working as senior researcher in Korea Automotive Technology Institute (KATECH). His project experience include the development of design for fuel cell electric vehicle, the development of Virtual Testing Laboratory and the development of Virtual Integrated Development Environment (VIDE) for the collaborative work.

Mr. Michel Fraisse

Michel holds a Master in Electrical Engineering from the Industrial Chemistry & Physics Institute (ICPI) of Lyon (France) as well as a Master of Business Administration from the Pennsylvania State University (USA).

Michel joined Eltek in August 2002 after 12 years spent with Schneider Electric. Before leading the Eltek Valere E-Mobility business unit, Michel has been responsible for Sales & Marketing for France & associated countries as well as Global Key Account Director for Alcatel-Lucent & France Telecom Group.
